Les Îles d'or

Les Îles d’Or (The Golden Isles)

Located in the open sea in front of Hyères and Bormes les Mimosas, the Îles d’Or (Golden Islands) are an archipelago, that consists of three main islands and several islets. Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Îles du Levant are the three main islands forming the archipelago of the Îles d’or. Part of Porquerolles and the whole island of Port-Crots and the islets, that surround the island, from the National Park of Port-Cros, a treasure of nature and the only National Park of France, that extends both over the sea and the land.
From the campsite Les Tournels, take the direction of Saint Tropez, Lavandou, Cavalaire sur Mer or even of La Croix Valmer, to travel to the Îles d’Or. From these harbours, various maritime shuttles operate between the mainland and Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Îles du Levant.
The seabed and beaches of the archipelago of the Îles d’Or are truly like paradise. This is also where we find, on the island of Porquerolles, the beach of Notre Dame, considered the most beautiful beach in Europe! It owes its name to its preserved nature, its water quality, the diversity of its fauna and flora, as well as the beautiful pine forests which surround it.
